commissioning, malfunctions

Observe all of the instructions and warnings. Improper use or incorrect operation can lead to serious physical injury (e.g. from electric
shock or burning) and substantial material damage (e.g. from fire).

Storage and transport

Store and transport the lamp only in its original packaging. Protect packaged light from mechanical impact, moisture, frost and dust.

Comes with

Lamp with solar panel, incl. 1x LED + accumulator, 1 Plastic ball, 2 spacer tubes for 2 versions, 1 Ground spike, user manual

Unpacking

Take all the parts of the lamp out of the box and remove the packaging material. Put all the parts of the lamp on a soft surface in front of you, such as a
carpet. Check the parts for any possible visible damage.

Commissioning

1. The solar LED lamp can be positioned independent of a power source.
The LED solar lamp comes equipped with a ground spike. You can only use the LED solar lamp together with the ground spike. In this case you have 2
selection possibilities with the 2 provided spacer tubes (see figure on page 1). When using or positioning, the following should be considered: position
the ground spike in the provided recess on the bottom of the lamp, making it possible for you to push the lamp straight into soft ground (e.g. meadow,
bed, etc.).
However, because the lamp depends upon energy from the sun, you must consider the following points when setting up the lamp and act accordingly:
Choose a place where the solar module is exposed to direct sunlight during the day.
Avoid placing at a location lying entirely or mostly in the shade (trees, roof gable, etc.).
The solar module should not be permanently exposed to other light sources at night, for example, by a spotlight illuminating a garage entrance, etc.
Please consider that many light sources only switch on in the middle of the night or when movement is detected.
2. This lamp has a twilight sensor and an ON/OFF switch. The lamp provides light for approx. 6 to 8 hours when fully charged.
3. Loosen the ball from the base (solar unit) by counter clockwise rotation. Before initial commissioning turn the ON/OFF switch to ON. Fix the ball into
the base by clockwise rotation as far as it goes. Expose the LED solar lamp to sunlight.
4. LED solar lamp function: ON - The LED solar lamp automatically switches on when the area starts to get dark. The lamp automatically switches off
when the area starts to get light. If there is sufficient brightness, the battery starts to charge.
OFF - The LED solar lamp is permanently off. If there is sufficient brightness, the battery starts to charge.

Disposal of packaging

Dispose of the packaging material, sorting it according to type.

Keep packaging and wrapping away from children. Danger of suffocation!

Damage and malfunctions

LEDs do not light:
Environment too light? Check if light from other sources is hitting the solar lamp. If so, change the location of the lamp. (e.g. street lights or lamps which
are controlled by time or motions)
Battery fully charged? See "Replacing the battery".
LEDs are damaged: The LEDs cannot be replaced.
The light from the LEDs is dim: Battery is not fully charged or damaged; charge the battery in the battery charger or replace with a new battery.
The power fluctuates depending on the time of year: this is due to the weather and is not a fault. The weather conditions in summer are most favorable
and least favorable in winter.
