Never let the lamp come into contact with

water or other liquids.

J

Never open any electrical fittings such as in-line

switches etc. or allow any object to be inserted
into them. This sort of interference can lead to
a serious danger to life from electric shock.

J

If the external flexible lead of this lamp becomes
damaged, to avoid danger have it replaced by
the manufacturer, his servicing agent or an
equivalent electrical appliance repair specialist.

To avoid danger of

fire and injury

J

RISk of InjURy! Check all bulbs and the
lamp for damage immediately after unpacking.
Do not fit defective bulbs into the lamp. In this
event, contact the Service Centre for a replace-
ment.

J

RISk of InjURy fRoM bURnS! Ensure
the lamp has been switched off and allowed to
cool before you touch it. In this way you will
avoid the danger of burns. Bulbs give off a lot
of heat around the top of the lamp.

J

Allow the lamp to cool down completely be-
fore replacing a defective bulb.

J

Replace defective bulbs immediately. Before

replacing the bulb always remove the plug
from the mains socket.

J

Never leave the spotlight operating unattended.
Fire can result from the development of too
much heat.

J

Do not allow the lamp or the packaging mate-

rials to lie around unattended. Plastic film or
bags, Styrofoam etc. can turn into dangerous
toys for children.

J

Do not allow any objects to cover the lamp.

Working safely

Use only 220 – 240 volt - energy-saving bulbs
with an E14 fitting and a maximum rated out-
put of up to 9 watts.

J

Position the lamp so that it is protected from
moisture and dirt.

Use a clean, fluff-free cloth when you are fitting
the bulb.

Rotate the supplied energy-saving bulb

Check that the bulb is correctly seated.

Place the lamp on a level, horizontal surface.

Insert the mains plug of the mains cable

into a mains socket.

Your lamp is now ready for use.
