Scanning with EPSON Smart
Panel
You can use EPSON Smart Panel’s easy, step-by-step applications to help you with
your most common scanning needs:
■ Use the Copy function like a copy machine to scan and print copies of
newspapers, magazine articles, or handwritten letters. (For photos, use Photo
Print.)
■ Use Scan to E-mail to scan a photo or letter and include it in your e-mail.
■ Use Scan to OCR (optical character recognition) to convert printed text, such as
magazine articles, into documents you can edit in your favorite word processor.
■ Use Photo Print to make instant reprints of photos. Photo Print works like the
Copy function, but at a higher resolution that’s more suitable for photographs.
■ Use Scan to Application to automatically scan your picture and open it in the
image processing software of your choice.
■ Use Photoshop to edit, retouch, or add special effects to your images.
■ Use Scan to Web to scan photos and upload them to the EPSON
PhotoCenter. SM This lets you share them with your friends and family on the
Internet.
■ Use Scan to File to save your scan as an image file that you can open, edit, or
print later on.
