4. Connect the power cord to the power supply.
5. Using the retaining clip shipped with the server, secure the power cord to the power supply handle.
Securing the cord will ensure enough slack.
6. Connect the power cord to the AC power source.
7. Be sure that the power supply LED is illuminated green (" Rear panel LEDs and buttons " on page 10 ).
Redundant fan assembly option
To install the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 20 ).
2. Do one of the following:
o Open or remove the tower bezel, as needed (" Open or remove the tower bezel " on page 20 ).
o Extend the server from the rack (on page 21 ).
3. Remove the access panel (on page 21 ).
4. Remove the air baffle (on page 22 ).
5. Remove the fan from fan bay 1.5.
6. Install the removed fan in fan bay 2.
