the optical receiver will light (red) to show that the receiver is in the stand-
by mode.

Operations

1. Make sure that the power lamp of the AV optical receiver lights (red) to
show that the receiver is in the stand-by mode.
2. Turn the TV on and select video input.
3. Connect a power source to the camcorder and insert a recorded
cassette.
4. Set the CAM/OFF/VIDEO switch to "VIDEO" and point the camcorder's
transmitter at the AV optical receiver.
When the AV optical receiver senses a signal from the camcorder, the
power lamp of the receiver changes to green to show that the receiver is
in the power on mode.

Note: When the CAM/OFF/VIDEO switch of the camcorder is set to "CAM",
no signal can be transmitted.

5. Press the PLAY button. Now, the playback picture appears on the TV
screen.

Note: When you use the remote control to operate the camcorder, point it at
the infrared receiver of the camcorder. You cannot operate the camcorder by
pointing the remote control at the AV optical receiver.

6. When playback is finished, set the CAM/OFF/VIDEO switch of the
camcorder to "OFF". After approx. 20 seconds, the power lamp of the AV
optical receiver changes to red to show that the receiver has entered the
stand-by mode.

Controllable Range

* Lift the fitting at the bottom of the camcorder; it can be used as a simple
stand.

Note: The stand is likely to slip and may fall down even with a slight impact,
so be careful when selecting the position where the camcorder is to be
installed using the stand.
