MAINTENANCE
THE IMPORTANCE OF MAINTENANCE
A well-maintained motorcycle is essential for
safe, economical and trouble-free riding. It will
also help reduce air pollution.
To help you properly care for your motorcycle,
the following pages include a Maintenance
Schedule and a Maintenance Record for
regularly scheduled maintenance.
These instructions are based on the assumption
that the motorcycle will be used exclusively for
its designed purpose. Sustained high speed
operation or operation in unusually wet or
dusty conditions will require more frequent
service than specified in the Maintenance
Schedule. Consult your authorized Honda
dealer for recommendations applicable to your
individual needs and use.
If your motorcycle overturns or becomes
involved in a crash, be sure your Honda dealer
inspects all major parts, even if you are able to
make some repairs.
WARNING
Improperly maintaining this motorcycle
or failing to correct a problem before
riding can cause a crash in which you
can be seriously hurt or killed.
Always follow the inspection and
maintenance recommendations and
schedules in this owner's manual.
