Creating a Multi-party Conference
Procedure To set up a multiparty conference:
1 While connected to one party, press <CONF>. Dial a
second party.
2 After the called party answers, press <CONF> to
create a three-party conference.
3 To add an additional party, press <CONF> and dial
the desired number. The two other parties are
automatically placed on consultation hold
(temporarily removes a party from a connection so
transfer or conference operations can be performed).
4 If you misdial, press <CNCL>. This returns you to the
three-party conference. You can then redial the new
party.
To announce the conference to the new party, make
your announcement and then press <CONF> to
connect all parties. Or, you can connect all parties
immediately by pressing <CONF> as soon as the
called party picks up. When the conference is formed,
the display is updated with the new number of
conferees.
5 Repeat these steps to add additional conferees. You
can have a total of six people in a conference.
6 Press <HOLD> to place the conference on hold.
You can only hold a conference by pressing the
<HOLD> key. You cannot hold a conference using
soft park and hold loops.
7 To retrieve the held conference, press <START>, then
the winking CAP representing the held conference.
