Rear-Facing Use

Lap/Shoulder Belt

LATCH Belt

Refer to the
“Choosing
Restraint and
Position” section to
determine if your
child should be in
the rear-facing
position.

This child restraint must always face
the rear of the vehicle and be in the
fully reclined position when the child
weighs between 5-35 lbs. (2.3-16 kg)
and is less than one year old.

Never place a child rear-facing
in a seating position with an
active frontal airbag.

To move the
recline foot to the
rear-facing
position, lay
restraint on it’s
side.

After deciding whether to use your
Vehicle Belts or LATCH, be sure to read
the warnings below as they pertain to
both systems.

The recline foot

MUST

be in the rear-

facing position.

Unlock the recline
foot by turning
the knob 1/4
turn.

Rotate the recline
foot to the front
of the restraint
and lock into
place.
