Repairs to electrical appliances should only be carried out by a suitably
qualified person in accordance with local and national safety regulations.
Repairs and other work by unqualified persons could be dangerous.
The light does not illuminate when the appliance is turned on.
Possible fault Solution
Is the lighting turned off? – See "Settings - Lighting".
If not, the lighting is defective.
Contact Miele.
The display remains dark.
Possible fault Solution
The unit has no power. – The main switch is turned off.
– The machine is not plugged in.
– Check that the fuse had not blown or
is defective. If the fuse has blown
contact Miele's Technical Service
Department.
The unit suddenly turns off.
Possible fault Solution
– Is the machine programmed to
switch off after a programmed time?
– There could be pebbles within the
coffee beans. The unit shuts off after
20 secs. to avoid damage.
– Is the machine plugged in?
– The machine goes into standby
mode when not used for a
programmed time. See "Settings -
Timer - Switching off after".
– Call Miele's Technical Service
Department.
– Plug in the machine.
The light turns off suddenly.
The light turns off automatically when the machine has not been used for
15 minutes. See "Settings - Lighting".
