Making and Receiving Phone Calls

• using TurboDial to dial a phonebook entry

• dialing a phonebook entry

• calling the originator of an SMS or EMS message

• using Voice Command

Note: Your phone contains a “phonebook” that can be used to
store names and telephone numbers. See “The Phone Book
Menu” on page

66 for further details.

The simplest method of making a phone call is to enter the
number using the digit keys, then press Send

Note: If you make a mistake, press and release

) to

remove the last digit. Press and hold

the entire number.

To indicate that you are making a phone call, your phone
displays the outgoing call animation and the word

Calling…

followed by the telephone number or the name of phonebook
entry (if the number you are calling is stored in the phonebook)
you are calling.

If the call is not answered and you want to end it, press the
Power key

P

. Your phone displays the ending-a-call animation.

When the phone call is answered, the phone displays a timer
that shows the duration of the connection.To end the call, press
the Power key
