To enter the next character, press the next key for the character
you require. If the next character is on the same key, wait for the
cursor to move to the next position.
TAP—Correcting Text
In TAP Mode, you can delete one character at a time or you can
delete all the text.
Press the left- or right-arrow on the Navigation key
S
to move
the cursor left or right.
To delete the character before the cursor, press - ( DELETE ).
You can then insert any new characters you require. To delete all
the text, press and hold
- ( DELETE ).
How to Enter Text in iTAP Mode
If iTAP Mode does not support the current language set up for
your phone, then only TAP Mode is available.
In iTAP Mode, each key has different characters assigned to it.
When you press a key to begin a word, the available characters
for that key appear at the bottom of the display. As you add
characters, a dynamic dictionary builds and displays a set of text
options. iTAP highlights the first choice text option.
To highlight and add characters to an alternative text option, use
the Navigation key
S
to move left or right. A left- or right-
arrow on the bottom line indicates that more text options are
available.
When you are ready to add a highlighted word to the main
display area, press
+ ( Select ).
