Call Features

Voice mail

Voice mail alerts

Service providers have different ways of alerting you
when a new voice mail is received:
• \ a voice mail alert symbol
• ] a text message: to view, see p 16
• a recorded announcement.

To listen to voice mails

If you receive a text message, you will see your voice
mailbox number highlighted. Double-click

to call and

hear your messages.
Otherwise, call “Voice mail” from your Phonebook. You
may need to set the number (p 20).
If your voice mail service requires you to press keys for
menu options, then click

and choose Enter number

to send key tones.
Tip: record a voice sample for the “Voice mail” entry in
your Phonebook (p 14), so you can hold

and say

“Voice mail” to retrieve your messages quickly.

Using your XELIBRI hands-free

During a call, choose Options and Handsfree. Click

to adjust volume.
Caution: the loudspeaker may damage hearing if
you hold your XELIBRI to your ear.

Noting a telephone number

To take down a telephone number during a call, choose
Options and Enter number. After the call, choose
Options, Call or Save (to put the number in your
Phonebook).
Tip: use XELIBRI hands-free (above) so you can hear a
dictated telephone number with XELIBRI away from
your ear.

Holding calls

Choose Options and Hold. Click

to return to the call.

Alternatively, choose Options and Mute so that you can
talk privately to a companion. Repeat to return to the
call.
