Setting up voice mail

Voice mail

If you subscribe to your service provider’s answering
service (voice mail), they will usually have set it up
automatically. If not, you may need to enter your voice
mailbox number.
Your XELIBRI prompts you for your mailbox number the
first time you retrieve your voice mail. Alternatively, from
the Settings menu, choose Voice mail, Voice
mailbox.
You may additionally need to switch on divert (below).

Divert (call forwarding)

Divert must be switched on to use voice mail, but you
can also divert calls to other numbers.
From the Settings menu, choose Divert and select:
• Unanswered – forward calls when your XELIBRI is

off or out of coverage or when you’re busy or don’t
answer. This is the usual setting.

• All calls – forward every call (useful if you’re abroad

and don’t want to be charged for incoming calls).

• Off – don’t forward any calls.
If you elect to forward calls, then enter (or confirm) the
telephone number to which you want calls redirected.
This is either your service provider’s voice mail divert
number or an alternative number of your choice.

Personalising voice dialling

If you get unexpected results when voice dialling
numbers, then you may benefit from training your
XELIBRI to recognise the way you speak.

To personalise voice dial

Choose a quiet environment for the training.
From the Settings, Phone menu, choose My voice.
When you’re ready to begin, click

to choose Select.

Speak the word or sequence of numbers shown on the
display. If your XELIBRI fails to recognise what you have
said, it will prompt you to repeat it. If successful, it will
go on to the next screen.

To turn personalisation off

If you want to restore general settings for speech
recognition, choose Settings, Phone, My voice and
switch off personalisation. Repeat to re-train your
XELIBRI.
