This vehicle is equipped with a Passive
Anti-Theft System (PATS) which prevents
it from being driven away by an
unauthorised person.
A sophisticated decoding process is used
to validate the Jaguar Smart Key. The
engine can only be started by the key that
is programmed to the vehicle electronic
systems.
