To change the information shown in the main display
while recording

Each time you press

DISP/CHARA on the remote control,

the information in the main display changes as follows:

1 Current track number of the CD played
2 Remaining play time of the current track
3 Remaining recording time in the HDD, calculated

based on the current setting of the recording mode

4 Album number and its track number recorded
5 Recording mode in use

If you cannot record a CD using high speed
recording (PCM x2 REC or PCM x4 REC)

This might have occurred due to the recording condition of the
disc. Using a slower speed recording than the current one in use
(PCM x1 or PCM x2) may solve this trouble.

If the recording is not done correctly, or a track is
skipped while it is being played

Use analog recording (see page 51).

Tracks of less than 3 seconds cannot be created (or
recorded) in the HDD

During the first 3 seconds of recording of each track, you cannot
stop recording.
