Using the Multiplex CDs

If the source you are going to play is a multiplex CD, you can
use the Multiplex Sound function.

What is Multiplex Sound?

In a multiplex CD or VCD, two separate languages are recorded
on the left and right channel. With this system, you can select
your choice of language you wish to listen to.

Turn on the TV and select the video input on
the TV.

Press the MPX button on the remote control to
select the MPX mode.

Each time you press the button, MPX mode changes as
follows.

MPX:

LCH MONO

RCH MONO

STEREO

LCH MONO: Only the left channel (instrumental parts) are

played through both speakers.

RCH MONO: Only the right channel (vocal parts) are

played through both speakers.

STEREO:

Normal stereo mode.

• You can also use MPX mode during playback.
• MPX status is not indicate on the display.
To return to Normal stereo mode press the MPX button

on the remote control until “STEREO” appear on the
display.

Play a multiplex CD.

To play a video CD with PBC, see page 15.

Adjust the main volume control to the loudness
you want.

• If you want to record on a tape, carry out CD Direct

Recording or One Track Recording. (See page 21.)
