No picture appears on the TV
connected.  Set the LINE SELECT switch to OUT.
 Color system setting is not correct for the TV. Set [COLOR
SYSTEM] according to the color system of the TV (  page
42).
 Check the input/output setting on the TV.
The picture from the connected
component does not appear on the
screen of this player.  Set the LINE SELECT switch to IN.
No sound or distorted sound is
heard from the audio component
connected.  Set [DOWNMIX] or [DIGITAL OUT SETUP] according to the
component connected (  page 43).
Error displays
Display Cause and/or corrective action
HI DC IN  An AC power adaptor which is rated higher than the one
supplied or recommended is being used. Use only the supplied
AC power adaptor.
LOW BATTERY  The rechargeable battery is used up completely. Charge the
battery (  page 19).
Wrong Region  The region code of the DVD currently in the player does not
conform to the player (  page 9).
 The operation cannot be done with the disc.
