• You need a certain amount of space in the “Memory Stick“ to add an index.

For more information, see “System Limitations“ on page 88.

• You cannot add an index when “INDEX FULL“ appears in the display

window. Erase some messages before adding an index. For more information,
see “System Limitations“ on page 88.

• The recorded date and time of the latter part of the divided message by

adding an index, is the same as that (the starting date and time of recording)
of the divided message.

• If you add an index to a labeled message that was divided, the other part of the

divided message will have the same message name.

• If you add an index to a message with priority mark(s), priority mark(s) will

be added to both parts of the divided message.

• If you add an index to the point the bookmark is specified, the bookmark is

erased.

Combining Messages by Erasing the Index

You can combine two messages into one by erasing the index.

In stop mode, follow the steps below:

Press the jog lever up or down (>/.) to display the
number of the second of the two messages you want to
combine.

Message 3

The message numbers
decrease.

An index is erased.
