• For playing back an MP3/WMA file, see page

64.

• A “prohibited icon” may appear at the top-right on

the TV screen when the operation is
prohibited by the disc or this unit.

• Some DVDs may start playback from title 2 or 3 due

to specific programs.

• During the playback of a two-layered disc, pictures

may stop for a moment.This happens while the

1st

layer is being switched to the 2nd layer.This is not a
malfunction.

• Don't leave the disc exiting halfway from the slot.

Tracking will be automatically adjusted upon playback.

• The tray will close automatically, and playback will

then start from the first chapter or track of the disc.

• When you play back a DVD with a title menu

recorded, it may appear on the screen. In this case,
refer to “Title Menus” on page 58.

Basic Playback

Before:Turn on the TV, this unit, the amplifier and

any other equipment which are connected to this

unit. Make sure the TV is set to the correct channel.

Press DVD first.

Press OPEN / CLOSE A.

The disc tray will open.

Insert your disc with its label facing up. Align the disc
to the disc tray guide.

Press OPEN / CLOSE A to close the disc tray.

Press PLAY B .

Playback will start.

Press STOP C to stop playback.

To eject the disc, press OPEN / CLOSE A to open the
disc tray, then remove the disc before turning off the unit.

General Features

DVD may contain menus to navigate the disc and access
special features. Press the appropriate Numeric buttons or
use

/

/

to highlight your selection in the DVD

main menu and press ENTER to confirm.

TIP:
You can change the On-Screen language in “PLAYER
MENU” setting. (Refer to pages 79, 80.)

This operation may take a
while to be recognized.
