Security

The phone and SIM card are
protected against misuse by several
security codes and should be
treated with the same care as a
cheque guarantee card.

then select a function:

PIN 1 Protects your SIM card (per-

sonal identification number).

PIN 2 This is needed to set the

charge detail display and to
access additional functions
on special SIM cards.

PUK

Key code. Used to unlock
SIM cards after the wrong
PIN has been entered.

Phone

code

Protects your phone. Must
be entered at the first securi-
ty setting (4-8 digits).

Keep these confidential numbers in a

safe place where you can access them

again if required.

Calls can only be made to

one phone

number that is dialled by holding
down the left soft key. Enter phone
number and name or select from the
Addressbook.

The dialling options are restricted to
specific phone numbers. If you only
enter area codes, the relevant
phone numbers can be added to
these manually before dialling.

(Phonecode)

Calls are limited to the call list
of dialled numbers. This call list can
be filled with phone numbers
specifically for this purpose:
Delete (see also p. 53) the call list
and create “new entries“ by dialling
phone numbers and cancelling
before the connection is
established.
