Setting Abbreviated Dialing

Abbreviated Dialing is another form of speed dialing. It allows you to
dial a number from your Contacts entries by entering just the last four
digits of the number. If the digits you enter do not match any stored
Contacts entry, you can automatically prepend an area code and
prefix using the following steps.

To activate this feature:

1. Press

to access the main menu.

2. Select Settings and press

.

3. Select Others and press

.

4. Select Abbrev. Dial and press

.

5. Select Enable and press

.

6. Enter a six-digit number and press

or OK (left softkey).

To deactivate this feature, highlight Disable during step 5
above.

Tip:

If you enter fewer than 6 digits, the display shows a warning message. See

page 25 for using this feature.

Headset Mode

This feature allows you hands-free phone use. Set the headset mode
to Voice Call or Ready Link and press the Turbo Button on the headset
to activate useful functions.

To set headset mode:

1. Press

to access the main menu.

2. Select Settings and press

.

3. Select Others and press

.

4. Select Headset Mode and press

.

5. Select Voice Call or Ready Link and press

.

Press Info (right softkey) during step 5 above to see the
Headset Mode information.

To deactivate this feature, select Off during step 5 above.

With the headset:

Voice Call: Press the Turbo Button to activate Voice dial. Press
twice to redial the last call. Press and hold the button to record a
Voice Memo.

Ready Link: Press and hold the Turbo Button to redial the last
PCS Ready Link call.
