SMS mailboxes
The telephone comes supplied with the
general mailbox activated. The general
mailbox cannot be PIN protected. You can
add up to three private mailboxes to your
phone and protect them with a PIN. A
mailbox is identified by a name and a
"mailbox ID" (kind of extension number).
Please remember:
u
If you operate a number of devices
(base stations) with SMS functionality
on a single phone line, then each SMS
mailbox ID may only occur once. In this
case you must also change the preset
ID of the general mailbox ("0").
u
You can only use personal mailboxes if
your service provider supports this.
This is the case if the telephone
number of a (preset) SMS Centre is
preceded by a star (*).
u
If you have forgotten your PIN, you can
reset it by restoring the factory settings
of the base station. This will delete all
messages from all mailboxes.

deactivate the mailbox.

Select the mailbox ID (0–9).
Already assigned digits will
not be available.

Scroll to the Protection: line.

Activate/deactivate PIN
protection.

Scroll to the PIN line.

Enter 4-digit PIN if set.
Save

Deactivating a mailbox:
Set Call Director to Off. All the messages
stored for that box are deleted.
Deactivating PIN protection:
Protection: Set
to Off. The mailbox PIN is
reset to "0000".
