Activating/deactivating the Walk and
Talk mode

Walk and Talk
Deactivating the Walk and Talk mode:
Off Press the display key.
If, when you are in Walk and Talk mode,
you press the talk key c or the
handsfree key d, the call will go to all
the handsets that are in Walk and Talk
mode. The connection is made with the
first handset to answer the Walk and Talk
call.
u Ring and advisory tones are set in
exactly the same way as if your
handsets were in range of the base
station (page 47).
u "Activate/deactivate ringer" (p. 48) and
"Activate/deactivate keypad lock" (p. 7)
are available in Walk and Talk mode.
u To open the menu, press the display
key © .
u The Walk and Talk mode is retained
even when you switch your handset off
and back on.
Using a handset in Walk and Talk mode
as a room monitor
You can also use the room monitor
function in Walk and Talk mode.
© Press the display key.
Room Monitor
Select and press OK .
s Scroll to the Room M.: line.
r Activate the room monitor.
s Scroll to the Level: line.
r Select sensitivity for the noise
level (Low or High).
Save Press the display key. The
room monitor function is now
activated.
Always check the settings of the room
monitor before you leave home, e.g.
sensitivity and phone line.
The room monitor will call all the handsets
that are in Walk and Talk mode.
Press the display key
Off on the room
monitor handset to deactivate the room
monitor. The handset returns to the
normal Walk and Talk mode.
