Attach Left & Right Light Brackets
There are three methods for attaching the light kit.
Method #1: Refer to Figure 5. Mount light bracket (#1) in
front of fuel cap (#7). This method is used only when the
fill cap is located at the back of the fuel tank.
Method #2: Refer to Figures 6 & 7. Mount light
bracket (#1) behind fuel cap (#7) on an adapter plate.
This method is used only when the fill cap is located in
the middle of the fuel tank.
Method #3: Refer to Figure 8. Mount light bracket (#1) on
the ROPS. The method is used only on ZXT models
equipped with ROPS.

Method #1 - Light Bracket Mounted in Front
Refer to Figure 9:
1.
Loosen fuel tank mounting bolt (#5). Do not remove.
2. Slip right hand light bracket (#1) behind bolt (#5) and
push down until end of slot is reached and bent lip is
resting on top of side panel as shown.
3. Make sure front edge is aligned parallel to mating
surface and the bent lip is resting on top of the side
panel. Tighten screw (#5) to 15-20 ft-lbs. of torque.
4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 above to mount left light bracket.
Method #2 - Light Bracket Mounted in Back
Refer to Figure 10:
1.
Orient adapter plates (#2) with narrow end pointing
towards the front of the mower.
2. See important note above to determine which two
square holes are used. From the fuel tank side, insert
two 3/8" -16 x 3/4" round head square neck bolts (#3)
through the square holes. Screw on 3/8" flange lock
nuts (#4) by hand until they don’t turn easily.
3. On the right hand side of the mower, remove
3/8" screw (#5) and discard.
4. Attach front end of adapter plate (#2) to mower frame
with 3/8" x 3/4" GR2 hex flange serrated screw (#5).
Draw screw up snug, do not tighten.
5. Remove 3/8" screw (#6) and discard.
IMPORTANT: Do not over tighten screws (#5).
Damage to fuel tank can occur if overtightened.
IMPORTANT: There are four square holes in each
adapter plate (#2). See Figures 6 & 7.

The back two square holes are used when
mounting the light kit to Razor Z Mowers.

The front two square holes are used when
mounting the light kit to ZXT & ZT Mowers.
