Section 1: Assembly and Set-Up

Tractor Requirements

This mower is designed with a 3-Point category I hitch.
Horsepower rating of the tractor should not exceed 50
PTO horsepower for the AT26 mowers.

Dealer Assembly

Refer to Figure 1-1:

1.

The front braces (#1) (shorter braces) and rear
braces (#4) (longer braces) are disassembled and
banded to the crate.

2.

Un-band the braces and mount them to the front and
rear lugs as shown securing with bolts (#2) and nuts
(#3).

3.

Rotate the rear braces (#4) and the front braces (#1)
until the holes line up. The rear braces (#4) go to the
outside of the front braces.

NOTE: In order to maintain steering control, ballast
may need to be added to your tractor. To determine
whether or not to add the ballast, refer to your
tractor’s operator manual.

4.

Place the spacer (#6) in the top hole of the clevis (#5)
then place the clevis between the front and rear
braces. Secure with the bolt (#7) lock washer (#8)
and nut (#9).

Tighten all hardware in the front and rear braces.

6.

The gauge wheels (#10) are removed from the
gauge wheel arms and stored in holders for shipping.

7.

Remove the gauge wheels (#10) from holders and
mount in the gauge wheel arm tubes as shown.
Place spacers at desired cutting depth. Refer to
“Cutting Height Adjustment” page 13. Discard
holders.

8.

The grass chute bracket (#14) is mounted to the
mower and the grass chute is mounted to the crate
for shipping only. Remove the bracket by removing
the
5/8” carriage bolt (#12) and lock nut (#13). Remove
the grass chute (#11) from the crate. Assemble the
grass chute to the chute bracket as shown.
Reassemble the chute by placing the spring in the
position shown. Reassemble the carriage bolt and
lock nut. Tighten nut.
