Initial Settings for
DVD player

3 Move the joystick up/down to select angle
mark display ON/OFF.
The currently set option is indicated the mark
“ ”. The option selected with the joystick is
indicated in blue.

4 Click the joystick.
Angle mark display is set ON/OFF.

• You can also switch the angle during playback

RETURN

takes you back to the previ-

ous display.

Setting for digital output
(DIGITAL OUTPUT)

Set digital output correctly to match the compo-
nents you are using with this unit. There is no
need to change settings if this unit is not con-
nected for digital output.

Precaution

• Incorrect setting may result in noise and dam-

age to speakers so be sure to read the manu-
als of the connected components.

1 Move the joystick up/down to select

2 Click the joystick.
Digital output setting menu is displayed.

3 Move the joystick up/down to select the
desired digital output setting.
The currently set digital output setting is indi-
cated the mark “ ”. The digital output setting
selected with the joystick is indicated in blue.

Dolby D/LPCM

Select when using a Dolby
Digital compatible amp and
decoder. The Dolby Digital
signal is output as it is. (Initial
setting)

LPCM

Select when using an amp and
decoder that are not Dolby
Digital compatible. The Dolby
Digital signal is converted to
and output as a linear PCM
signal.

4 Click the joystick.
The selected digital output setting is set.

Notes

• Linear PCM output of DTS audio is not possi-

ble. If you select

LPCM

, DTS audio is not out-

put.

• When using this unit with a Pioneer Multi-

channel processor with digital input (DEQ-
P7050), select

Dolby D/LPCM

.

• Pressing
