Writing to
disc appears to
start normally,
but fails. Why?
SmoothLink may not be functioning. Check the
SmoothLink function setting in writing software and
the following:
B Disable suspend and resum functions.
B Close resident software and other programs.
If SmoothLink function is OFF, writing data to media
may fail due to interruption during data transmission
from the computer.
To avoid:
B Change writing speed (to a lower speed).
Before actually writing to the media, execute
“Simulate” using the writing software.
Available working speed may change depending
on the computer environment. Check the following:
B Perform hard disk maintenance. (Defragment hard
disk after disk scanning.)
B Disable suspend and resume functions.
B Close resident software and other programs.
B Turn off screen saver.
B Turn off Active Desktop.
B Do not configure network connection.
