Touch [EXIT] to finish.

You can also press the shutter button halfway to finish.

Focus on the subject and take a picture.

Hold down the shutter button fully to activate the Burst Mode.

Note

When [

] or [

] is selected, focus prediction will be performed in a possible range to

prioritize the burst speed. Therefore, if you try to take a picture of a subject that is moving fast,
it may have trouble with focusing or it may take time to focus.

In the Intelligent Auto Mode, only [

], [

], [

] or [

] can be selected.

In [HIGH SENS.] in Scene Mode, only [

], [

] or [

] can be selected.

The burst speed may become slower while taking pictures in [

] or [

] setting.

When [

] or [

] is selected, the focus, exposure and White Balance are adjusted for each

recording in the burst.
Live View display is used instead of Auto Review display during the burst.

Recording is performed by the electronic shutter when [

] or [

] is selected, so the

recorded picture may appear warped.

(P195)

When [

], [

], or [

] is selected, focus, exposure, and White Balance will be fixed to the

settings for the first picture. Depending on changes in the brightness of the subject, the
recording may be brighter or darker from the second picture.

When the self-timer is used, the number of recordable pictures in Burst Mode is fixed to 3.

If you are following a moving subject while taking pictures in a place (landscape) indoors,
outdoors etc. where there is a large difference between the light and shade, the exposure may
not become optimal.

The burst speed (pictures/second) may become slower depending on the recording
environment such as in dark places, if the ISO sensitivity is high etc.

Burst Mode is not canceled when the camera is switched off.

If you take pictures in Burst Mode with the built-in memory, it will take time to write the picture
data.

[Œ] is set for the flash when burst is set.

Auto Bracket is canceled when burst is set.

You cannot use Burst Mode in [PANORAMA ASSIST], [HANDHELD NIGHT SHOT],
[FLASH BURST], [STARRY SKY], [FIREWORKS], [PIN HOLE] and [PHOTO FRAME] in
Scene Mode.

You cannot set [STABILIZER] to [AUTO] or [MODE2] when Burst is set.

Face Recognition information is attached only to the first picture of the burst during recording
with face recognition. (However, the whole group is treated as Face Recognition pictures
during [CATEGORY PLAY].)
