Name: Assigns the WAP-5000 a unique name that allows the AP to be easily identified on the

network.

SSID: The SSID is the name shared among all points in the wireless network. You can type an

existing domain name or create a new one that contains up to 32 characters.

SSID Broadcasts: Click to enable or disable the SSID Broadcasts feature. If disabled, the

WAP-5000 would block any connection request from stations without the correct SSID and hide the

SSID in outgoing beacon frames. A site-survey tool will not find the SSID.

User Isolation: Enable this option, any wireless client cannot detect another wireless client in the

same wireless network. It can give full privacy for clients under public access environment.

Transmission Rate: Sets the transmission rate of the WAP-5000. In high-interference

environments a lower rate can increase overall transmission speed by reducing resends of lost

packets.

Basic Rates: This value determines the basic rates used and reported for this BSS by the

WAP-5000. The highest rate specified is the rate that the WAP-5000 will use when transmitting

broadcast/multicast and management frames.

Channel Number: You can change the channel used by the WAP-5000 from here. If the

Automatically option is selected, the WAP-5000 will choose an available radio channel

automatically.

Aging Timer (seconds): The expiration time for wireless station without activity.

Regulatory Domain: Identifies the Regulatory Domain where the WAP-5000 is used. Each

country has defined its available channel numbers and transmission power.
