Setting the font number in
PCL

To set the font number to be used in PCL printing. The unit assigns a number
to each font.
1. {Menu} i {#}{7}{6}{9} i {Set}
2. Enter the font number from “ 000” to “054”, using the dial keypad.
L The default setting is “ 000”.

Note:
L If feature #768 is set to “ Download Font”, the default setting is “001”.

Setting the font pitch/point in
PCL

To set the font pitch/point to be used in PCL printing.
1. {Menu} i {#}{7}{7}{0} i {Set}
2. Enter the font pitch from “ 00.44” to “99.99”, or the point from “004.00”
to “ 999.75”, using the dial keypad.
L The default pitch is “ 10.00” and the default point is “012.00”.

Setting the symbol set in PCL

Setting the line breaks in PCL

To set each behavior when receiving CR, LF, and FF codes.

{ 3} “ CR/CR+LF/CR+FF”: CR=CR, LF=CR+LF, FF=CR+FF
Setting the waiting time for
auto continue mode

To set the length of time before the unit recovers if a memory overflow occurs.

1} “ Off” (default): Deactivates this feature.

{ 3} “ 30s”: 30 seconds

{ 5} “ 90s”: 90 seconds
{ 6} “ 120s”: 120 seconds
Changing the data timeout
setting

The unit will automatically print the remaining data in memory when the
computer does not send data to the unit during the set time.
1. {Menu} i {#}{7}{7}{4} i {Set}
2. Enter the desired data timeout setting from “ 005” seconds to “600”
seconds, using the dial keypad.
L The default setting is “ 060” seconds.

Detecting monochrome
pages

7}{7}{5}
{ 0} “ Off”: When you make a color printout, all pages including monochrome
pages will be printed using color toner cartridges and the color drum cartridge.
This will increase consumable usage for color toner cartridges and the color
drum cartridge.
{
1} “ On” (default): When you make a color printout, this feature automatically
detects the monochrome pages of your document and prints only using the
black toner cartridge and monochrome drum cartridge. This will decrease
consumable usage for color toner cartridge and color drum cartridge, but will
require time to automatically switch between monochrome printing and color
printing.
Note:
L Depending on the type of document, this feature may not be activated even
when “
On” is selected.
