This command has no arguments or keywords.

User Guidelines

Polling time is determined by the sntp client poll timer global configuration command.

Examples

The following example enables polling for the Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) predefined unicast clients.

console (config)# sntp unicast client poll

5.5.14 sntp server

The sntp server global configuration command configures the device to use the Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) to

request and accept Network Time Protocol (NTP) traffic from a server. To remove a server from the list of NTP servers, use the

no

form of this command.

Syntax

sntp server ip-address | hostname

[poll] [key keyid]

no sntp server host

ip-address — IP address of the server. An out-of-band IP address can be specified as described in the usage guidelines

hostname — Hostname of the server. (Range: 1 - 160 characters)

poll Enable polling.

ƒ

key keyed — Authentication key to use when sending packets to this peer. (Range:1 – 4294967295)
