Step 1: Set the Auto Exposure Lock

Step 1: Set the Auto Exposure Lock

Turn on the Auto Exposure (AE) Lock to capture equal lighting between
two hemisphere images. The first picture you take using the AE Lock in a
pair of hemisphere images will establish the exposure for both the front
and back hemispheres. Using AE Lock automatically disables the flash.

Always remember to reset the exposure lock before every pair of hemi-
spheres. If your hemisphere images appear dark, try resetting the AE lock
and retaking your images.

Nikon Coolpix 880

1.

Turn the camera on and make sure it is in P mode.

2.

Press the menu button twice to display the second menu options
screen.

3.

Highlight the Exposure Options and press the right arrow button to
select it.

4.

Press the right arrow again to select AE Lock.

5.

Press the down arrow once to highlight On and press the right arrow
button to activate AE Lock.

6.

Press the right arrow again to select AE Lock.

7.

Press the down arrow twice to highlight once to hightailed Reset and
press the right arrow to reset AE Lock.

Nikon Coolpix 885

1.

Position the mode dial on top of the camera to CSM mode.

2.

Press the menu button twice to display the second menu options
screen.

3.

Highlight the Exposure Options and press the right arrow button to
select it.

4.

Press the right arrow again to select AE Lock.

5.

Press the down arrow once to highlight On and press the right arrow
button to activate AE Lock.
