2.

Verify that the PC Card is securely in the slot.

Make sure you align the PC Card correctly for

insertion. Inserting a PC Card incorrectly can damage the card and/or
the NEC MobilePro.

Removing PC Cards

Follow these steps to remove a PC Card from the MobilePro.

1.

Locate the PC Card eject button beside the PC Card slot and press
it to release the card from the slot.

2.

Once the card is released, pull it the rest of the way out of the slot.

Using CompactFlash Cards

Your NEC MobilePro comes with a CompactFlash (CF) card slot that
supports one Type II CompactFlash card. A CF card provides a storage
device for your MobilePro and when inserted, creates a Storage Card 2
folder. To view the contents of the folder, double tap the My Handheld
PC icon on your MobilePro desktop, then double tap the Storage Card
2 folder.

Windows CE supports the hot swapping of CF

cards. However, to avoid data loss, do not remove a CF card while in
use. When using a CF card in the MobilePro, also use AC power. The
batteries alone may not provide enough power for some CF cards to
operate properly.

Note

Use the AC adapter when using CF cards. Using the adapter

can help you avoid potential data loss caused by the high-energy
consumption of some CF cards.
