A card the size of which is not supported by
SPD-S has been inserted.

Cards supported by SPD-S are 3.3 V CompactFlash
cards with the capacity of 16 to 512 MB. Check the card.

You are trying to import an audio file that can-
not be imported to SPD-S.

Refer to the notes on importing audio files. (p. 69)

No card is in the slot and the requested opera-
tion cannot be executed.

Insert a card.

no empty backup!

The card has no empty backup data set and the
requested operation cannot be executed.

Delete unwanted backup data.

There is an audio file with an identical file
name.

Rename a file on the card using a computer or delete
the file.

cannot execute!

In File Import, the card has no audio file and the
requested operation cannot be executed.

In Backup Load/Delete, an empty backup data
set is selected and the requested operation can-
not be executed.

Select a non-empty backup data set.

In Backup Save, a non-empty backup data set is
selected as destination and the requested oper-
ation cannot be executed.

The card has been ejected without shutdown
operation. Data stored in internal memory or
on the memory card may have been lost.

The checksum value in the System Exclusive
message is incorrect.

MIDI buff full!

The volume of MIDI messages received is
too large and cannot be processed.

Reduce the volume of MIDI messages sent to the SPD-S.

MIDI Rx error!

The SPD-S failed to receive a MIDI message
correctly.

Check that no illegal MIDI message has been sent.

MIDI offline!

MIDI cable connection is faulty.

Check that the MIDI cables are connected correctly, and
they are not broken.

If the SPD-S is powered off while any of these indications are displayed, the data in memory may be
