GB ASSEMBLY
Lie the vacuum cleaner flat and attach the vacuum cleaner head by sliding it on until it clicks. •
Stand vacuum cleaner up straight, attach wand to hose and push into place until it clicks. •
Push wand down into hose and attach tools to the side of the vacuum cleaner. •
USING YOUR DYSON VACUUM CLEANER
Press foot pedal and recline handle to use. The stabiliser stand will automatically lift up.
To switch ‘ON’, depress power button in front of handle. After cleaning, push the vacuum cleaner
into an upright position and stabiliser wheels will automatically drop. Use the clear bin
TM carrying
handle to carry the vacuum cleaner.
CAUTION:
• When returning to the upright position, ensure that the stabiliser wheels are fully engaged before
releasing the vacuum cleaner.
• Do not press the cyclone release button while carrying the vacuum cleaner or it could fall and
cause injury.
PLEASE NOTE:
Fine dust such as plaster or flour should only be vacuumed in very small amounts.

Consult your flooring manufacturer’s recommended instructions before vacuuming and caring •
for your flooring, rugs and carpets. Some carpets will fuzz if a rotating brushbar is used when
vacuuming. If this is the case, we recommend vacuuming in hard floors mode and consulting
with your flooring manufacturer. (Refer to carpets/hard floors section.)
If used in a garage for car cleaning, care should be taken to wipe the soleplate and wheels
•
with a dry cloth after vacuuming to clean off any sand, dirt, or pebbles which could damage
delicate floors.
CARPETS/HARD FLOORS
The brushbar will always default to ‘ON’ (spinning) each time you switch on the vacuum cleaner
and recline it for cleaning. The brushbar will automatically stop if it becomes obstructed. If the
brushbar stops during use, please refer to the ‘Clearing brushbar obstructions’ section.
To switch the brushbar ‘OFF’ (e.g. for hard floors), recline the vacuum cleaner and turn it ‘ON’,
then press the brushbar ‘ON/OFF’ button – the brushbar will stop spinning.
HIGH-REACH CLEANING
CAUTION:
• Powerful suction can cause the hose to ‘pull back’ – please take care.
• To release the wand, open the wand cap. Extend the red tube until the handle slides off the
vacuum cleaner. Tools can be attached to either the hose or wand. Ensure wand cap is closed
when wand is not in use.
• To avoid personal injury and to prevent the vacuum cleaner from falling when cleaning stairs,
do not work with the vacuum cleaner above you on the stairs.
CLEAR BIN TM EMPTYING
CAUTION:
• Switch ‘OFF’ and unplug the vacuum cleaner before emptying the clear bin TM . Empty as soon as
the dirt reaches the level of the MAX mark – do not overfill. To remove the clear bin TM from the
vacuum cleaner press the button at rear of carrying handle. To release the dirt, press the red
clear bin
TM release button.

CLEAR BIN TM CLEANING
CAUTION:
• Do not immerse the whole cyclone in water or pour water into the cyclones.
• Ensure clear bin TM is completely dry before replacing.
PLEASE NOTE:
Do not use detergents, polishes or air fresheners to clean the clear bin
• TM .
Do not put clear bin • TM in a dishwasher.
When vacuuming, certain carpets may generate small static charges in the clear bin • TM . These are
entirely harmless and are not associated with the mains supply. To minimize any effect from this,
do not put your hand or insert any object into the clear bin™ unless you have first emptied it and
rinsed it out with cold water.
WASHING YOUR FILTERS
CAUTION:
• Switch ‘OFF’ and unplug the vacuum cleaner before removing the filters.
• Ensure filters are completely dry before refitting to the vacuum cleaner.
PLEASE NOTE:
This machine has two filters, located as shown. It is important to check your filters regularly
•
and wash at least every 3 months according to instructions to maintain performance.
The filter in the ball should be rinsed and tapped out until the water runs clean, then tapped
•
out again to ensure all excess water is removed. This will normally require up to 10 rinse cycles.
Please leave to dry completely for 24 hours.
It is normal for the filter in the ball to turn grey in colour. The filters may require more
•
frequent washing if vacuuming fine dust.
Do not use detergents to clean the filters.
•
Do not put the filters in the dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, oven, microwave or near •
an open flame.
LOOKING FOR BLOCKAGES
CAUTION:
• Switch ‘OFF’ and unplug the vacuum cleaner before checking for blockages.
• Please ensure vacuum cleaner is upright before removing hose or airway inspection parts.
• Beware of sharp objects when clearing blockages.
• Refit all parts of the vacuum cleaner securely before using.
PLEASE NOTE:
Clearing blockages is not covered by your vacuum cleaner’s limited guarantee. If any part of

your vacuum cleaner becomes blocked, it may overheat and then automatically shut off.
Unplug vacuum cleaner and leave to cool down. Clear blockage before restarting.

CLEARING BRUSHBAR OBSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION:
• Switch ‘OFF’ and unplug the vacuum cleaner before clearing brushbar obstructions. If your
brushbar is obstructed, it may shut off. If this happens you will need to remove brushbar as shown
and clear any obstructing debris.

FR ASSEMBLAGE
• Poser l’aspirateur à plat et fixer la tête de l’aspirateur en la faisant glisser, jusqu’à ce qu’elle
émette un click.
• Placer l’aspirateur à la verticale, insérer le tube dans le flexible et le pousser en place jusqu’à ce
qu’il émette un click.
• Pousser le tube à l’intérieur du flexible et fixer les accessoires sur le côté de l’aspirateur.
UTILISATION DE VOTRE ASPIRATEUR DYSON
Appuyer sur la pédale et incliner la poignée pour utiliser l’aspirateur. Le pied stabilisateur se relève
automatiquement. Pour la mise en marche, relâcher le bouton d’allumage situé à l’avant de la
poignée. Après le nettoyage, remettre l’aspirateur à la verticale afin que les roues du stabilisateur
descendent automatiquement. Utiliser la poignée de transport du collecteur transparent™ pour
déplacer l’aspirateur.
ATTENTION:
• Lorsqu’il est remis à la verticale, veiller à ce que les roues du stabilisateur soient complètement
engagées avant de relâcher l’aspirateur.
• Ne pas appuyer sur le bouton de libération des cyclones pendant le transport de l’aspirateur
car l’ensemble cyclone pourrait tomber et provoquer des blessures.
REMARQUE :
• Les fines particules de poussières comme le plâtre ou la farine ne doivent être aspirées qu’en très
petites quantités.
• Vérifier préalablement auprès de vos fournisseurs les instructions particulières relatives à
l’entretien de vos sols, tapis et moquettes. Certains tapis et moquettes peuvent s’abîmer au
contact d’une brosse rotative. Si cela se produit, nous recommandons de passer l’aspirateur en
mode sols durs et de consulter votre fournisseur. (Se reporter à la section « Tapis et moquettes /
sols durs ».)
• Si l’aspirateur est utilisé dans un garage pour nettoyer un véhicule, bien essuyer après utilisation
la semelle des roues avec un linge sec pour enlever tout sable, poussière ou caillou qui pourrait
endommager les sols délicats.
TAPIS ET MOQUETTES / SOLS DURS
La brosse rotative se met sur en marche par défaut (rotation) à chaque fois que l’aspirateur est mis
en marche et incliné pour le nettoyage. La brosse rotative s’arrête automatiquement de fonctionner
si elle est obstruée. Si elle cesse de fonctionner pendant son utilisation, veuillez vous reporter à
la section « Retirer les objets obstruant la brosse rotative ». Pour désactiver la brosse rotative («
OFF ») (par ex. : sur les sols durs), il convient d’incliner l’aspirateur et de le mettre en marche, puis
d’actionner le bouton « ON/OFF » de la brosse rotative - la brosse cesse alors de tourner.
NETTOYAGE EN PROFONDEUR
ATTENTION :
• Attention ! La puissance d’aspiration peut provoquer le refoulement du flexible.
• Pour libérer le tube, soulever le couvercle de ce dernier. Tirer sur le tube rouge jusqu’à ce que la
poignée se dégage de l’aspirateur. Les accessoires peuvent être fixés au flexible comme au tube.
Veiller à ce que le couvercle du tube soit bien fermé lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé.
• Afin d’éviter les blessures corporelles et que l’aspirateur ne tombe pendant le nettoyage des
escaliers, ne pas laisser l’aspirateur au-dessus de soi dans les escaliers.
VIDER LE COLLECTEUR TRANSPARENT™
ATTENTION :
• Éteindre et débrancher l’aspirateur avant de vider le collecteur transparent™. Vider le
collecteur dès que le niveau MAX est atteint - ne pas le remplir à l’excès. Pour retirer le
collecteur transparent
TM de l’aspirateur, appuyer sur le bouton situé à l’arrière de la poignée de
transport. Pour libérer la saleté, appuyer sur le bouton rouge permettant d’éjecter le collecteur
transparent™.

REMARQUE :

NETTOYER LE COLLECTEUR TRANSPARENT™
ATTENTION :
• Ne pas immerger l’ensemble du cyclone dans l’eau ou verser de l’eau dans les cyclones.
• S’assurer que le collecteur transparent™ est complètement sec avant de le remettre en place.
REMARQUE :
• Ne pas utiliser de détergent, de produit lustrant ou de désodorisant pour nettoyer le collecteur
transparent™.
