Chapter 4 Recording and Saving the Performance

Recording Songs Starting with Pickups

You can record songs that start with pickups. Songs that begin on a beat
other than the downbeat are called “songs with pickups.”

1.

Press the [Song/Disk] button.

2.

Touch <0: > to display <0: New Song>.

If <0: > doesn’t appear on screen, touch Page <

> and <

> to switch

screens.

3.

Touch <Exit> several times.

Display the screen where the measure number appears in the top-right area
of the screen.

4.

Press the Rec [

] button, turning on that button’s indicator.

The KF-90 enters standby for recording.

5.

Press the Bwd [

] button once.

The measure number at the top-right area of the screen changes to “PU”
(pickup).

6.

Press the Play [

] button to start recording.

7.

Press the Stop [

] button to stop recording.

If there is song data in the
KF-90’s internal memory,
the “Delete song” message
appears. For more
information, see “If the
following message
appears” (p. 99).
