When the Position Request is accepted by the receiving station:

When the position request is received, the Ray54E shows that the call has
been accepted by the requested station. The radio sounds a Call Alert tone.
Press any key to mute the alert tone. It shuts off automatically after two
minutes.

Push in the

CH knob to view the data. The radio automatically jumps to the

the

LAST RECVD log, where the data is displayed. Exit the log by pressing

CLEAR.

Press

CLEAR to exit to normal radio operation. You can retrieve the position

information later using the

LAST RECVD option.

When no reply is received within 3 minutes:

The radio prompts you to resend the call. After a total of 5 minutes of
inactivity, the Position Request Call is cancelled and the message

NO REPLY

POS REQUEST ABORT is displayed. The message disappears after pressing PTT.

Retrieving the Last Received Position Data

1. From the Position Request screen, rotate

CH to select LAST RECVD.

2. Push the

CH knob to select. The last received position request data is dis-

played.

Note: Only the last position is saved. The next received position will over-
write the existing position data.

Press the

CLEAR key to exit the LAST RECVD window.
