Basic Operations

Renaming & Resetting a Group

1. After Step 2 of “Adding a New Member to a Group” (page 43),

select a group, press

J (Options) and perform one of the

following operations.

Rename: Allows you to rename the group.

Reset: Allows you to reset the group name and delete all
members from the group.

Making a Call & Sending a Message from

the Contacts List

1. In standby mode, press @.

The main menu appears.

3. Select an entry and press @.
4. To make a call, select a phone number and press N.

To make a video call, select a phone number and press

H.

To send an SMS or MMS message, select a phone number or
email address, press

J (Options) and select Send Message.

For details on creating messages, see “Message” (page 77).

Using Speed Calling

In standby mode, you can make calls quickly and easily to phone
numbers in the Speed Calling list. You can add up to nine phone
numbers to the list.

Adding a Phone Number to the Speed Calling List

1. In standby mode, press @.

The main menu appears.

3. Select <Empty> and press J (Add).

The Contacts list appears.

4. Select the Contacts list entry to add to the Speed Calling list and

press

@.

• To search the Contacts list, press

j

J (Options) after Step 2 and

select

Search by. You can search for an entry by entering the

initial Chinese character, Pinyin code or alphabetical letter of the
first or last name, or by entering part of the phone number.

• In standby mode, you can press and hold any key from

/

2 to

/

9 to display an entry with a first name that starts with the
alphabetical letter assigned to the key you press.
