Audio Settings

The items in this group control audio signals output from the
AUDIO OUT terminals on the rear of this unit.
Note: The item No. 2 “Dynamic Range Control” and No. 3
“Speaker” are available for China and General models only.

Digital Output

On this item, you can select the format of digital signal to be
output from the OPTICAL and COAXIAL DIGITAL output
terminals of this unit for respective formats recorded on DVD
discs.
Depending on the format of digital signal, you can make this
unit convert the disc’s original format of digital signal into PCM
(48 kHz) format for outputting signals, or you can make this
unit output no signal from the OPTICAL and COAXIAL
DIGITAL output terminals of this unit.

When the SET UP group “Audio Settings” is
selected, press

or

to select “1 Digital Output”,

and then press SELECT.

Press

or

to select the format of digital signal

for which you will change the current setting, and
then press SELECT.

to select the preferred mode, and

then press SELECT.

Note
The settings on this item are only applicable when playing
back a DVD.
