7. Configuring WebShare

Use this section when adding new accounts or changing account parameters.

7.1 Accessing the WebShare Management Interface

To access the Web browser management interface, perform the following steps:

1. Make sure that your computer is turned OFF.

2. Verify that an Ethernet connection is established between your computer and the WebShare Proxy

Router.


3. Turn the WebShare Proxy Router ON.

4. Turn the computer power

ON.

Note: Because the computer gets the IP address from the WebShare Proxy Router, these steps ensure the
WebShare Proxy Router is on before the computer boots up.


5. After the operating system has completely loaded, verify that the Link indicator light on the top of the

WebShare Proxy Router is steady green.


6. Click on the WebShare icon on the desktop.

Figure 21 shows the initial Home page of a WebShare Proxy Router that contains no PPP accounts.
