Initial settings

Once the intial settings have been completed, the player can
always be operated under the same conditions (especially with
DVD discs).
The settings will be retained in the memory, until the settings
are changed, even after switching to standby mode.

Common procedures of initial settings

Press SET UP in the stop mode.

Press the cursor buttons (

) to select

the preferred item and press SELECT.

To cancel during setup operation

Press RETURN or select “0”. (The previous screen is dis-
played.)

To clear the initial settings screen

Press the cursor buttons (

A

B

) to select “0” and press

SELECT. (Pressing SET UP or RETURN also clears the initial
settings screen.)

Note:

After the player is set to the “Lock All” setting in “2 Ratings”,
none of the initial settings, including “2 Ratings”, can be
changed if the DVD disc is left inside the player. In this case,
remove the disc, and unlock the player.

The numeric buttons can also be used for selecting items or
values instead of the cursor buttons (
