1. Raise Print Head and remove the Ribbon.
2. Clean Print Head by moving alcohol-
moistened swab tip side-to-side across Print
Head elements. Only use moderate force.
(To reorder swabs see Appendix C).
Never use a sharp object to scrape deposits
from the print head. Permanent damage
will result.
A cleaning using the Cleaning System with cards usually suffices. However, a
separate Print Head cleaning using swabs can remove more stubborn deposits
when print anomalies persist. To avoid deposits, only use foam-tipped swabs.
