Offsets the real-time clock of a wireless LAN switch by +1 hour and
returns it to standard time for daylight savings time or a similar
summertime period that you set.

Syntax

set summertime summer-name [start week weekday

month hour min end week weekday month hour min]

summer-name

— Name of up to 32 alphanumeric characters that

describes the summertime offset. You can use a standard name or any
name you like.

start

— Start of the time change period.

week

— Week of the month to start or end the time change. Valid

values are first, second, third, fourth, or last.

weekday

— Day of the week to start or end the time change. Valid

values are sun, mon, tue, wed, thu, fri, and sat.

month

— Month of the year to start or end the time change. Valid

values are jan, feb, mar, apr, may, jun, jul, aug, sep, oct, nov, and
dec.

hour

— Hour to start or end the time change — a value between 0

and 23 on the 24-hour clock.

„

min

— Minute to start or end the time change — a value between 0

and 59.

„

end

— End of the time change period.

Defaults — If you do not specify a start and end time, the system
implements the time change starting at 2:00 a.m. on the first Sunday in
April and ending at 2:00 a.m. on the last Sunday in October, according to
the North American standard.

Access — Enabled.

History —Introduced in MSS Version 3.0.

Usage — You must first set the time zone with the set timezone
command for the offset to work properly without the start and end
values.

Configure summertime before you set the time and date. Otherwise,
summertime’s adjustment of the time will make the time incorrect, if the
date is within the summertime period.
