D. Applications

The RIDGID FG-100 is a palmtop flue gas analyser for use with furnace, heaters,
and boiler systems. The FG-100 functions includes: Draft and differential
pressure measurements, differential thermometer, gas leak tester, CO
environmental measurement. An automatic internal device dilutes the CO
concentration when a high level of CO is identified by the instrument.

This system protects the CO sensor from high concentration of CO. The device
automatically switches to dilution when the automatic procedure has been
activated and a high (2000 ppm) value is measured. In this case the CO value
will be displayed in reverse colors (white letters on black background) and the
measuring unit changes from ppm to % v/v (% by volume: 2% v/v, for example,
means that the CO volume is 2% of the total volume). The dilution system
extends the sensor measuring range up to 10%.
