Instrument modification

6.2 Exchange of electronics

You first have to remove the adjustment mod-
ule as described in chapter "6.1 Exchange of
adjustment modules“ to exchange the com-
plete electronic unit of VEGABAR.

• Then loosen the ground screw and the two

smaller fixing screws connecting the elec-
tronic unit with the housing.

• Pull the electronic unit to the top and pull

out the plug connection.

• Proceed in reverse sequence when install-

ing the new electronic unit.

Note:

Now new adjustment is necessary after
exchanging the electronic unit. When switch-
ing on (connection of supply voltage) for the
first time after exchange of the electronic unit,
it will take approx. 20 s until the actual meas-
ured value is displayed.

6.3 Exchange of the process fitting

The process fitting on VEGABAR 40 can be
easily exchanged.

• First loosen the three screws on the lower

side of the housing with a hexagon socket
size 5.

• Remove the process fitting in the direction

of the arrows from the sensor so that the
connection cable is not damaged.

• Pull out the plug connection.

For mounting the other process fitting, pro-
ceed in reverse sequence:
• Insert the cable from the sensor into the

process fitting.

• Plug the process fitting and the sensor

together.

• Screw the process fitting to the sensor,

only use the original screws and plain
washers.

Note:

When switching on (connection of supply
voltage) for the first time after exchanging of
the electronic unit, it will take approx. 20 s
until the actual measured value is displayed.
