The service life of the battery depends on many factors such as e.g.

the number of messages transmitted, sensor type, network quality

and temperature, so no exact time can be specified. With activated

power-saving mode with multidrop operation and 1 x measured

value transmission per day, a service life of approx. four years can be

expected.
Note:

If the Lithium power pack and the external voltage supply are used at

the same time, the power supply with the higher operating voltage is

tapped. When used together with the power pack, the external voltage

supply must have an operating voltage >18 V to be able to supply

power.

6.3 Accumulator pack

The accumulator pack was especially developed for the seamless

integration into the second housing chamber and is available from

VEGA under the article name "PM-AKKUAA". It consists of a holder

with six standard cell of the size AA (Mignon), six NiMH accumulators

and a regulator as well as a foam rubber sleeve for fastening in the

housing chamber.
Via the integrated charging electronics, the accumulators can be

charged via a power supply unit or a solar module (specifications see

"Technical data" in the supplement). The connection is carried out on

the terminals of PLICSMOBILE.
There are two slide switches and one LED indication on the upper

side of the accumulator pack.

3 Battery/Accu switch: Switch regulaor on/off

Switch position On: PLICSMOBILE is powered, accumulators

are charged with external voltage supply (power supply unit/solar

module) and activated battery switch

Switch position OFF: PLICSMOBILE is not powered, accumula-

tors are charged with external voltage supply (power supply unit/

solar module) and activated battery switch

Generally, accumulators are inserted in the battery holder. If, as an

exception, non-chargeable batteries are to be used, the integrated

charge regulator must be switched off.
