8. Disconnect the mountings of the auxiliary switch assembly
and fuse box (if present) and move them out of the way of
the flux shifter area.
9. Remove the nut and washers securing the trip paddle to the
eye bolt on the trip shaft, shown in Figure 3. Remove and
discard the trip paddle, saving the hardware for installation of
the new trip paddle. Disconnect the return spring from the
eye bolt and the fixed pin and save for reinstallation with the
new flux shifter.
10. The flux shifter reset arm is connected to the movable
contacts by a pin with a snap ring and washer. Remove the
snap ring, washer, and pin and remove the reset arm. Note
the positions of other links, such as from the auxiliary switch,
on the pin.
11. Remove the nut and screw securing the flux shifter mounting
bracket to the breaker frame, shown in Figure 3. Disconnect
the connectors on the leads to the trip unit and remove the
flux shifter.
12. Remove the bolts securing the trip unit mounting bracket to
the breaker frame. Remove the trip unit and its wiring har-
ness.
