Appliance specific safety instructions


If you notice any defects that may cause danger to the operator, do not
operate the appliance until the defects are rectified.

Replace worn or damaged parts for safety.

Use only original spare parts.

Parts not produced by the manufacturer may cause a poor fit and possible
injury.

Before use, all foreign bodies must be removed from the lawn. Pay attention
for foreign bodies during operation.

Only work in daylight or sufficient artificial light.

Wear eye protection and a face or dust mask if operating the appliance in
dusty conditions.

Dress properly when using the appliance:

Use rubber gloves and substantial footwear

Wear protective hair covering to contain long hair

Avoid wearing loose clothing or jewellery that could get caught in the tines

Make sure that all the protective devices are fitted and in good condition.

Do not operate the appliance near underground electrical cables, telephone
lines, pipes or hoses.

Before inserting the plug into the mains socket, make sure that the voltage
rating is correct and corresponds to the voltage indicated on the rating label
of the appliance.

Use of the appliance is only permitted if you comply with the safety distance
provided by the guide bar.

Do not operate the appliance on a slope that is too steep for the appliance.
When using the appliance on slopes slow down and make sure you have
good footing.
