Replacing the blades of the appliance

Note: Please wear work gloves when changing the blades.

1.

Ensure that the appliance is switched off and the power cord is disconnected
from the mains supply.

2.

Remove the top of the appliance by unscrewing the “securing knob” located on
the main body of the appliance.

3.

The blades have two cutting edges, when the blades have become worn, reverse
the blades to use the second cutting edge.

4.

Lock the blade disc using a hex spanner. Unscrew the two inner hexagonal
headed screws and note the cutting angle of the blade (Fig 10).

5.

Remove the blade and rotate it 180˚ and fit the blade to the blade disc ensuring
that the ground cutting edge is facing downwards (Fig 10).

6.

Repeat the same process for the other blade.

Note:

-When one cutting blade has worn out both must be replaced as a pair.

-The cutting blades can be re-sharpened, this must be carried out by an experienced
professional using an oil stone.

-However, we recommend purchasing new blades as faulty discs may cause an
imbalance in the appliance.
