If the blades stall for more than 5 seconds a safety overload switch will operate
and automatically turn the machine off. Before re-starting the appliance allow a
cooling period of 1 minute. Press the overload switch and then push the on/off
switch to re-start the machine.

If the cutting mechanism of the appliance strikes a foreign object or if the
appliance starts making any irregular or unusual vibrations or noise immediately
switch off the appliance and allow the cutting means to stop. Remove the power
cord from the mains supply, then proceed as follows:
- Inspect the appliance for damage
- Replace of repair any damaged parts
- Check for and tighten any loose parts
- Remove any debris that becomes clogged

Always keep the motor cooling vents free from debris and other materials to
prevent any damage from occurring to the motor. Also ensure that the collecting
bag does not cover the cooling vents during use.

When you have finished using the appliance always switch the appliance off and
remove the electrical cord from the mains supply.
